Such a great game, one of my all time favorites.

I don't have that one. I have the second one, I think. On PC.

Horizon Zero Dawn - Best game I've played in a long time.

Syndicate July 9th, 2017 03:21 PM

...still hooked on Forza Horizon 3, but I've finally made it back to Dishonored Definitive Edition. I tried Rise and Shine, but the control makes it way more difficult than it needs to be.

...cool, I really enjoyed Inquisition and still need to get back to the dlc. If it's not too late grab the dlc and check it out.

I finally beat it, and while I enjoyed the game, I feel like I would have enjoyed it more as a multiplayer game. I got in about 96 hours, and that's plenty for me. I'm moving on.

I also beat Saints Row 4 and got about halfway through one DLC before calling it good. My favorite in the series is either 2, despite all the bugs, or 3.

Oh yeah, also I beat Fable 2. I may have beaten that one before, I can't remember. I'm not sure if I ever beat the third one either.

I picked up Far Cry 3 on the cheap, so that's next. I should get back to Dragon's Dogma, since I'm right at the end, but my PS3 isn't hooked up right now, and I don't remotely remember how to play the game anymore.

Nothing consistently. Played a bit of EDF Insect Armageddon, a little couch coop fun with the girls.

My middle kid isn't the best gamer, but on a recent trip, we came across a Fast and Furious style racing game in the arcade. The girls and I played several games and the middle kid absolutely CRUSHED us. It was like she'd found her niche and happily rubbed our faces in it. I'm proud of her.

Yesterday I finished Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, on the Xbox One. It might sound crazy, but this was probably the second best game I've played in 2017 (the first being Horizon Zero Dawn). I'm definitely going to get the sequel... and not wait so long to actually buy it.

Beat FF XII Zodiac Age last night - started new game+ but I'm likely done with it.
Before that, was playing Wipeout Omega and Crash Bandicoot; neither really kept my interest very long.

Pahn August 14th, 2017 08:54 PM

I'm just about done with Far Cry 3, so I bought Just Cause 2 for the PS3. I own it for the PC already, but I'd much rather play on my TV, and I'm not sure my PC would do it justice anyway.

Player Unknown Battlegrounds - The hottest shooter of 2017, it's not even out of early access and it's sold over 7 million copies.... Which means we now live in a world where a small indie shooter with almost no advertising, and was purely marketed by word of mouth on facebook, youtube, and Twitch, is more popular than big budget triple A shooters like Halo 5 and Gears of War 4. It's crazy.

PUBG reminds me of older shooters, like Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six from back in the day. Except there's some nice modern design sensibilities going on, like there's no respawns, but with the way matchmaking works you don't have to sit there and wait for 10 minutes to play again. You die, you search for another match, you're playing again in under 2 minutes.

Peter would absolutely love Battlegrounds.

DOTA2 - My favorite game ever has pulled me back in. I'm over 3,200 hours in, and still learning new things.

Lawbreakers - Sadly this game has bombed, but I like it a lot. Absolutely the best Quake/Unreal Tournament games since those games were in their heyday.

Splatoon 2 - Ranked mode is far better than the default game type of just painting the ground. In ranked mode there's actually an objective, and you being able to kill your opponent and stay alive actually matters. If you tried Splatoon and didn't like it, I'd recommend sticking it out until you unlock ranked matches, it's a different game.

Paragon - After hating the earlier beta, Epic has made lots of changes, including increasing the game speed by a substantial amount, and it's a night and day difference. I Fully recommend Paragon if other MOBAs like DOTA and League have scared you off. It's not as easy to play as say, HOTS, but it's very accessible. Basically if you've played a 3rd shooter/action game before, you'll feel at home on Paragon.

Been pretty addicted to The Elder Scrolls Online again recently.

I also picked up Fallout 4 again with a bunch of mods and decided to finish the rest of the DLC I never beat. Did Far Harbor and Vault 88 so far and just started Nuka-World. I know this game gets a ton of flak but I still think it''s a great game.

Still occasionally hop on Halo 5 for my competitive fix.

bigloser August 23rd, 2017 11:03 AM

I wished I didn't feel this way, but I think I'm done with the Halo universe. I find the games so boring now, Gears of War too maybe. GoW4 bored me, and that's pretty disappointing to me since Gears might be my favorite franchise from the 360/ps3 era.

Vid Gamer August 23rd, 2017 12:12 PM

Honestly, I don't really care much for the story in Halo anymore. Halo 5's campaign was a dud. I play for the MP and I really enjoy Halo 5's even with all the bullshit that happens. Gears 4 now that I can reflect on it was disappointing overall.

I also bought LawBreakers on PC yesterday because I did enjoy the beta and felt bad with how bad it was doing. lol

Been playing Mario + Rabbids on the Switch. Great game and not something I thought I would like initially.

If you haven't played Xcom, and are enjoying Maro+Rabbids, you should play it ASAP.

Xcom is pretty much better in every way, an amazing game.

Yeah, I never played it but heard good things about it. I thoroughly enjoyed Mario + Rabbids so I might have to give it a try.

Binding of Issac (Switch), Forza 7 (actively been playing FM/FH series since 2007), Senran Kagura (I like niche games, but this is way weird) and got the SNES mini, but haven't unboxed it yet.

Syndicate October 2nd, 2017 07:39 PM

...still going hard on Forza Horizon 3, but also found time to finish Oxenfree and get started with Cuphead. I still need to get back to Dishonored and Halo:MC though. On the Switch I spend most of my time with Wonderboy since I still haven't opened BoTW.

Jerome October 3rd, 2017 08:14 AM

the last few days I've just been playing Cuphead on Xbox One. The game is great, but damn it's tough.

I finally got around to finishing Mario+Rabbids.

Had a lot of fun with it. For whatever reason the last boss game me more trouble than I'd like to admit, lol.

Played a fair amount of Gran Turismo Sport Beta over the last few days. Also playing Raiden V, and plan on going back to Forza 7 for the weekend.

Vid Gamer October 17th, 2017 04:56 PM

Pokken DX (Switch) - Surprisingly good Pokemon fighter but it lacks any sort of single-player content. I'd only buy if you want to invest in battling people online. Solid game, though.

Golf Story (Switch eShop) - Game is ace. Old school arcade golf like Mario Golf on GBC. Lengthy game at around 20 hours for only $15.

turningpoint October 18th, 2017 02:32 PM

Ghost Recon : Ghost War, its surprisingly good.

Syndicate November 29th, 2017 10:14 PM

...I just finished The Wolf Among Us and it was really good, my first experience w/a Tell Tales Games title. I also finished Raiden V, short and sweet. There aren't a lot of new games in this genre, but this is a solid entry. I'll be making my way back to Cuphead and Horizon 3 soon.

ANy one buy PUBG for Xbox one? I heard it's crap, but there's really not much out there to play currently besides mario on the switch.

The PC version is 100 times better, but it's now finally playable on Xbox One, as long as you own an Xbox One X.

I'd go a head and buy it, the issues it has now can be overlooked, before the last patch I would say it was virtually unplayable. But it's already come a long way.
